Florentina joined the AIMS team in Timisoara in 2005. Throughout the years, her career in AIMS meant various roles: recruiter, consultant, trainer / facilitator, project manager, business developer, marketing and social media specialist.
She is currently the Product Manager for IT SalaryMap, the compensation & benefits survey dedicated to IT services / software development / tech sector, leading this project since 2018.
In-between the two editions of IT SalaryMap (winter-spring and summer), she keeps busy with:
- training / workshop delivery (interpersonal and leadership skills, HR competencies)
- showcasing AIMS Learning & Development capabilities – through Learn with AIMS, our learning and development ‘’hub’’, which she keeps up-to-date and relevant for companies looking for inspiration or a real partner for their people development projects
- making the AIMS brand ‘’alive’’ and visible – through social media content, email marketing campaigns, graphic design for marketing materials
- plus all sorts of product or business development ideas and initiatives, of which she is never short.
‘’In AIMS Timisoara I am ‘’a jack of all trades’’, with broad knowledge in various areas. Because AIMS has given me the chance to define, re-define and re-think my professional identity, I could experiment with many different activities and roles along the way. That’s why I think I am good at integrating various disciplines and skills together in a practical manner: training/workshop facilitation, consulting, market research, competency assessment, social media communication, design – thus creating something new and different at every opportunity. In fact, thinking of new, original ways to do things is an important part of who I am.
The people I work with, colleagues and clients alike, appreciate my perseverance (my absolute favourite quote is Albert Einstein’s: ''It's not that I'm so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer’’, which perfectly describes who I am), achievement and quality orientation, my eye for detail, dedication to high standards, as well as the ability to think things through and examine them from all sides. Probably also for being able to keep my head in the clouds, but my feet on the ground.
According to VIA Survey of Character Strengths, my top 3 strengths are:
- Love of learning – I hated school, because it threatened to erase my second strength, but I always liked learning. I am self-taught in many areas, such as graphic design or marketing.
- Creativity, ingenuity, and originality – I am curious, restless and overflowing with ideas, pushing for new ways of doing things (sometimes to my colleagues’ annoyance). Why be content with doing something the conventional way, if a better way is possible? Right?
- Honesty, authenticity, and genuineness – I try to ‘’come as I am’’ in my relationships with others.
I find enjoyment in interior design and architecture, reading, running (and lately strength training) or a witty conversation over a glass of bubbly. My home and family life is also an important source of energy. I am married and have two boys, who teach me every day about the true meaning of patience, calm, intuition, warmth, acceptance, play, joy, empathy and, well, patience again. Although I generally like to establish order and structure in both my life and business, having children has also made me appreciate that ’’Magic is in the mess’’ as Brene Brown brilliantly put it.’’
