Annika is an Associated Consultant to AIMS International Sweden and an independent Advisor specializing in corporate governance and succession planning in family businesses, processes where the ability for constructive problem-solving is essential. Her work focuses on facilitating communication and helping the owning family work towards solutions that everyone can agree on. With over twenty years of experience as a family business advisor, she has worked with family businesses of different generations, sizes, and industries.
Annika holds a doctoral degree in business administration with a focus on family businesses. She has extensive international experience teaching both undergraduate and graduate students. Her subjects include leadership, strategy, organizational theory, qualitative methodology, consulting and family businesses. After ten years as a doctoral candidate and then a researcher at the Centre for Family Entrepreneurship and Ownership at Jönköping International Business School, she worked for one of Sweden´s larger accounting firms as Director of Business Advisory for a few years. Since 2017, she has been running her own company, Annika Hall AB.
Annika has written articles and books within her areas of expertise and has lectured at academic and non-academic conferences and workshops both in Sweden and abroad. She is a member of the Family Firm Institute (USA) and teaches at the organization’s educational program for family business advisors from around the world. Annika is also a certified instructor in SAVI (System for Analyzing Verbal Interaction), a tool for improved communication and enhanced problem-solving skills.
