Sustainability trends concerning the food industry
14 October 2021
You need to be part of the change. This is the message from the
Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations as we celebrate
World Food Day on 16 October 2021. Juggling topics like food security, starvation and wastefulness, the focus of this most important industry has to be on sustainability.
SIGWATCH is a global research and strategy consultancy tracking the campaigns of tens of thousands activist groups around the world to identify emerging trends. According to their MD, Mr.
Robert Blood, the
seven sustainability trends food and beverage companies should be concerned about if they want to grow and keep their customers are;
- Climate change
- Deforestation
- Green vegetarianism
- Insect apocalypse
- Water stress and agriculture
- Circular economy (i.e. ‘Zero waste’ becoming legislation by the European Commission)
- Sustainability-driven investment (ESG criteria)
At AIMS International, we make you, our customers and your challenges our mission. Our
Consultants are intimately familiar with the leadership skills needed to grow a sustainable business. Let‘s be the change. For our future. Together.
